Calvin R. He attended Sumner High School, obtained a pharmacy degree at the University of Washington, and a medical doctor degree (M.D.) at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed a medical residency in both pathology and internal medicine following graduation from medical school.

Calvin met his wife, Dorothy Dehn Lantz, while attending the University of Washington.  They were joined in marriage on September 22, 1942, and moved to Chicago while he completed his medical degree. Calvin was a gentle, loving, dedicated husband to Dorothy for 56 years until she passed away in 1998.

Calvin became a Second Lieutenant in ROTC at the UW. When he graduated he was commissioned to First Lieutenant and called to active duty.  In June 1946 he was assigned overseas in Europe where he witnessed the destruction of WWII.

Calvin opened his medical practice in Tacoma, WA in 1954.  He loved his profession and was extremely dedicated to his many patients, who remained friends after he retired in 1989.  From 1990 – 2003 he worked for the State of WA for disability determination.

He is survived by his loving children Caron Lantz Ogg (Larry) of Portland, OR, Calvin R.
