CHADEYNNE (CHAD) MILLER

Chad Miller, a beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend, passed away in her home early Monday morning, November 16, 2015 at the age of 90.

Born Chadeynne Hope to William and Grace Finney on July 1, 1925 in Grundy Center, Iowa, she was the second oldest of five children, moving with the family to the Gig Harbor area in 1942.

She was a statuesque, sporty youth, “Shinny” to her siblings and immediately popular with classmates at Gig Harbor Union High School. Those who knew and loved her saw her as elegant, warm and intelligent with a Hepburn-like forthrightness that always made her interesting. She was an artist, accomplished cook and avid reader. She liked working crosswords and digging up razor clams with her husband, Jack Miller, who was her constant companion over 57 years of marriage.

Chad is survived by her husband; sister, Carol Joan Andersen nee Finney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
