Clara Forbush

Clara Forbush, who was quick to smile and make others feel loved, passed away on December 13, at the age of 93. She was born the sixth of thirteen children to Julius and Elen Stenbak

As friends and family gathered around Clara’s bed she whispered that her whole brood had come home.  She was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. The stories that people told about Clara each recalled a recipe that she had shared or how she taught them to sew or garden.  She was a simple woman, born and raised in Bowman, North Dakota who could bake as good as any TV chef, who loved her family and who was loved by so many. She slowed down in her later years but she was still known for her energy and spirit.  She was a fixture at Harbor Life where she attended church and for years on Crescent Valley where she and Ken raised their children.   She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth who passed away 07/13/2007. She is survived by her son, David Forbush (Pam), daughter, Sue Brown (Daryl). Grandchildren: Travess, Somer, Lesley, Erin and Larissa. Great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Jace, Brody, Callum, Euan, Zoie and Enzo. Sisters: Eileen Meggars of North Dakota and Anna Abraham of Olympia.
