FRANCES LORRAINE RILEY PAWLAK
June 10, 1915 – January 21, 2016
Frances was a gentle caring person who saw MANY changes in the world over the past one hundred years. She lived her entire life in the Pacific Northwest – Seattle, Renton, Auburn, and Gig Harbor. During the war she was a “Rosie the Riveter”, but most of her life she was a homemaker who loved gardening, sewing, golfing, cooking, ceramics, bowling, fishing, and camping.
Her biggest love, outside of her family, was playing Blackjack at the Casinos. On her 100th birthday she celebrated at the Clearwater Casino in Poulsbo. She especially liked to host gatherings for friends and family celebrating special occasions.
She joins her spouse, Stanley; sister Alice; and brother Charles in Heaven. She had no “recipe” for a long life, but enjoyed it all. She was truly loved and will be missed by all her family: daughter, Darlene Dihel (husband Merle); granddaughter, Danna Lau (husband Michael), grandson, Stephen Dihel (Susan, Michael, KayAnn); great granddaughter, Malia Campbell (Kelly, Veronica, Victoria); great grandson, Ekahi Lau; nieces, nephews and families, Jerina, Jan, Jackie, Virginia, Myrna, Gary; sister-in-law, Freda Bateman.
