Harold W Kaatz was born on July 28, 1937 in Spokane, Washington and he passed away on June 17, 2017 in Gig Harbor. He was married on May 11, 1963 to Kathleen Englert. They had two children. Denine (daughter) on June 5, 1965 and Troy (son) on Sept. 27, 1966. They were married 54 years.

 

Harold graduated from North Central High School, Spokane, Washington. In 1955 he joined the Air Force 6-1955 and was honorably discharged 2-1959.

 

Harold spent most of his employment history working as a mechanic/rigger on motorcycles and boats. His last two jobs were for Tiderunner and Safe Boat.

 

Harold most recently attended Christian Life Center in Port Orchard. He volunteered as an usher for Cruisin’ Sunday, and Abraham House.

 

Harold was proceeded in death by his grandchildren, Glory, Grace, and Nathan Greiner and other family members. He is survived by his wife Kathy; daughter Denine Greiner-Smith (David) of Anchorage, Alaska; son Troy Kaatz of Tacoma; brother Gary Kaatz (Sally) of Ephrata; sister Joan Sorensen of Marysville; grandchildren Lorne Greiner, Raymond Kaatz, Sabrina Josephsen (Chris), Robert, Emily, Sara, and Kirsten Smith; great grandchildren Lily and Molly Josephsen, and numerous others.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Life Center in Port Orchard, Washington.
