Helga E. Fischer, age 83, residing in Gig Harbor, Washington, passed away August 22^nd at home surrounded by her family. Helga was born in West Germany April 28, 1934 and was raised by her step mother after both her parents died when she was only a child. She grew up to become a Registered Nurse working in Germany and Switzerland. Helga met her future husband Willi, of 50 years, in her early 30’s and they decided together to move to the US and become US citizens. Together Helga and her husband raised one son Billi Jr. who passed away at the age of 4, with son Steve who was born 6 months later. Helga was an accomplished porcelain Artist whit her work displayed in Art museums around the country. She also loved gardening and her beautiful rose bushes. Helga is survived by her son Steve and his wife Marnisa and kids; her sister Alma; several cousins, nephews and nieces in Germany. Funeral services will be held at Haven of Rest Memorial Park in Gig Harbor, Washington on Tuesday August 29^th at 1:30 p.m.
