James Gregory Muller, a resident of Tacoma, WA since 2001, died of COPD (lung disease) on July 11, 2016 at the age of 63. James (known as Greg to friends and family) was a Vietnam veteran who served with honor in the US Army in communications and completed his time at the rank of Sergeant (E5). He was a retired long-haul truck driver, and when he was in good health he enjoyed golf and bowling. During his decline he enjoyed board games, especially Yahtzee. He was known for his strong work ethic and always endeavored to do his best at any activity.
He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Alarie from Anchorage, AK; sister & her husband, Janie & Jim Irwin with whom he lived for 20 years; and three brothers, Mark Muller, Paul Richards, and Peter Richards, all from the Anchorage area. Other family members who will be missing him include his numerous cousins, most of whom live in Spokane, WA.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Saturday morning, July 16th, at Haven of Rest Funeral Home Chapel in Gig Harbor. Viewing is before the service at 8:30am. A burial ceremony will follow at a later time at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
