Juanita Jean McIntosh

Jean was a resident of Gig Harbor for about 60 years.  She graduated Lincoln High School in 1940 and went on to marry the love of her life, Larry McIntosh.  Prior to that time, she had a career at Douglas Fir Plywood Association until she and Larry decided to start a family.  Jean and Larry bought a ten-acre farm in Rosedale and raised their children Ken and Lisa there; along with many livestock.  After pouring her heart and soul in to raising her children, Jean still had so much more to give after Ken and Lisa grew up.  She accepted a job at Cottesmore and truly found her passion and talent for caregiving, attending Clover Park Vocational College to become a Certified Nursing Assistant to prove it.  After a steady career she retired from Cottesmore in the early 80s.  Jean radiated a strong, confident, caring, and loving energy that left an indelible impression on all whom she cherished.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, in 1989.  Jean spent her retirement years doing what was most important to her—loving and caring for her family…as well as maintaining a flawless home and yard at all times of the year.  Family members include son Kenneth McIntosh, daughter Lisa (Dan) Stoican, and grandchildren Tara (Jason), Lindsey (Kevin), Collin, and great-granddaughter, Natalynn.

Gone but never forgotten. Your love will always live on.
