Karmen Juanita Budd

Karmen Juanita Budd, 78, a Belfair resident since 1993 passed away on October 7, 2017.  Karmen was born in Langford, South Dakota on July 4th, 1939.  Karmen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was a retired entrepreneur who owned beauty salons, a restaurant and construction companies.  Karmen was a huge lover of the 4th of July, which was her birthday.  She owned July 4th and everyone was celebrating her birthday though they may not know it.  Karmen was given a great gift at birth a wonderful sense of humor, she would have people busting up laughing shortly after meeting them.  Grandma "loved to laugh, told fantastic stories, and could make friends with anyone she met, a truly charismatic woman."  She always made a point to make sure her name was spelled correctly... It's Karmen with a 'K'.  Even after suffering a severe head injury she had a fantastic memory to tell her wonderful stories of past life experiences.  Aunt Karmen was "the life of the party".

 Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years Gary; her daughter Sheila (Bill) of Kent; her son Danny of Belfair; her daughter Julie of Kirkland; and her daughter Paula of Seattle.  She is also survived by six grandchildren Ryan, Amber, Heidi, Katie, Casey and Taylor and two great grandchildren Jordan, and Reagan.  Karmen is also survived by four sisters Sharon, Dawn (John), Diane (Hal), Roberta and Daryl's wife Joyce (Bob).  Karmen is survived by her aunt Frannie, and of course by many, many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

 Funeral and burial services will held at 11:00 a.m. on October 24, 2017, at Haven of Rest Funeral Home in Gig Harbor, WA.  Remembrances can be made to Brain Injury Alliance of Washington
