I was surprised and saddened to find that Lois had passed on. I had a letter from her in September, and she seemed to be doing great. Although we only met once when I was a child, we began corresponding after my aunt Loretta died (Johnny's cousin). I will miss her informative and ever-positive letters, and think of her every Christmas when I am writing cards to friends and family.
