Mary Alice Sears of Gig Harbor, Washington, died August 6, 2017. Mary was born in Tacoma, WA on January 27, 1942 to Edwin and Alice (Dodge) Bruner. Mary worked and devoted her life to the bowling industry. She is survived by her husband, John Sears; children, John A. (Christine) Sears and Kathy A. (Erick) Harder; grandchildren, Amber, Katie, and Scott Sears, and grandson Christopher Bidlake. Mary is preceded in death by her son, John Allen Sears. No services have been determined at this time. Mary bowled on the Women’s Professional Bowling Tour in 1977-1978. She was inducted into the Greater Tacoma Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1987. She coached junior bowlers and anyone interested in bowling. She enjoyed all of the Holidays, and dressed up as Santa Claus in Fircrest, WA while raising money and food donations for the needy. She held Easter egg hunts at her home for children and she enjoyed camping and playing slots. Please leave your special memories and condolences for her family.
