Paul G. Kase, Jr., 93, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, in Gig Harbor, Washington. He lived at the Brookdale Gig Harbor from 2008 until shortly before his death.

Paul was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on November 2, 1923 and lived there with his family until attending college at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, attaining the degree Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering in October, 1944. After graduation, he worked for the Curtiss Wright Corporation in Buffalo, NY, served in the military, and then went to work for the family glass business, JM Kase, Inc., Reading, PA. Paul married Gwendolyn Gray on July 2, 1949. After returning to MIT for his Masters of Science in Aeronautical Engineering in 1956, he went to work for the Martin Marietta Corporation(Lockheed Martin) starting in Florida and then in Colorado where he and Gwendolyn raised their family. They then moved to Washington in 2008 where Gwendolyn preceded him in death on May 24, 2009. Paul lived a happy and healthy and productive life filled with love both given and received.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Karen Burns of Fox Island, Washington and Trina Orbach of Evanston, Illinois and three grandchildren, Claire Burns and Ian Burns of Seattle, Washington and David Orbach of Evanston, Illinois and grandson by marriage, Joel Orbach of Madison, Wisconsin. We will miss him.

Interment Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent. There will be a family graveside service. Arrangements by Haven of Rest, Gig Harbor.
