Raylyn Lucille (Kinney) Stadler

March 2, 1941 to August 17, 2015

Raylyn was born to Josephine Parker Kinney and Norman Kinney on March 2, 1941 at Yreka, California. She attended first grade in a one room school at Callahan, California and later, schools in Yreka.

She married John Stadler in Yreka on May 5, 1961, following him in his work with Morrison Knudsen Company, worldwide contractors and engineers, to Boise, Idaho where they lived for 16 years over a 36 year career with the company. She spent 4.5 years in Vietnam and 4 years in Zaire with husband and children, Juli L. Stadler and Robert M. Stadler, both currently of Boise, Idaho. Raylyn was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad in 1978 in Yreka.

Along with living in Saigon and Kinshasa, trips to Matadi, Inga, Mabanza Nagungu and Mission Gombi Matadi, her travels took her to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, the Philippines, Germany, Brazil, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Madrid. Her favorite city would always be San Francisco. For a while in Saigon, Raylyn worked as a volunteer in the Third Field Hospital.

The dowry Raylyn brought to her marriage was her Mom and Dad, the best Mother in law and Father in law a guy could ever hope to have. Along with husband and children, Raylyn is survived by her brother Richard Kinney of Clovis, California. Raylyn leaves her family and many friends with good memories of an outgoing, kind, gentle and considerate person. In short, she left her mark. She will be buried in the cemetery at Etna, California, near her folks. May the Good Lord like her. I surely did. John. Please visit www.havenrest.com to leave condolences for the family, light a candle, and sign her guest book.
