Welcome to the memorial page for

Richard Eugene Glaub

July 13, 1938 ~ May 19, 2016 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Richard "Dick" Eugene Glaub
A loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend passed away on May 19, 2016 in Tacoma, WA surrounded by his devoted family.
Dick was born in Yorktown, Indiana on July 13, 1938 to Virgil and Florence.
By the grace of God, Dick is now with his Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen Lou Glaub, his four sons Rick Glaub (Nancy Nolan), Ken Glaub (Angela), Monte Glaub, Eric Glaub (Wendy)
and two stepchildren Stephanie Murski (Erik Read), Christopher Ford (Jenny), ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Dick graduated in 1957 from Yorktown High School.  After high school Dick attended Southern Illinois University on a baseball scholarship.
He then attended Southern Utah University on a basketball scholarship.
Dick was a master stone mason/carpenter before spending 14 years as a Commercial Construction Superintendent with 2M in Southern California.
Once he and Karen decided to make the move to Washington, he built their home on Fox Island. They moved in 1991 and it has been their home ever since.

Dick deeply loved his family and friends.  His sense of humor was contagious; he had a true gift for making others laugh. He rarely missed a Mariners game and always enjoyed a good "cookout".  Perhaps his greatest trait was his passion for helping others.
He was quick to lend a hand, tool or his truck to those in need.
Dick truly enjoyed life to the fullest.

We will miss the beautiful man who taught us to love deeper and beyond conditions.
His name remains without blemish, his reputation pure and honored: a strong, faithful, God-fearing man.
He now laughs louder and more jubilant than ever before.
Death did not take him from us. It is because he died, he finally lives.
As it is said, "A good name is better than precious ointment, and the day of death than the day of ones birth:" Eccl 7:1. So today we celebrate, for we know he has truly been given life, life everlasting.
Blessed be the memories of Richard Eugene Glaub
