Ross E. Tolles

Ross E. Tolles, 85, died at home June 16th.  Ross graduated from the University of Puget Sound where he played on the school’s first tennis team and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.  He was an avid tennis player and sports enthusiast.  Ross worked as a sales representative for Weyerhaeuser, retiring after 42 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; Dau, Valaurie (Bruno) Caprez; Son, Steffan (Carol) Tolles; Dau, Vanessa Hurley; Sister Marylin Setlow; and 7 grandchildren, Karina, Nile, Alyssa, Gabriel, Silas, Isobel, and Tiffany. 

The military was an important part of Ross’ life as he spent two years in the Army during the Korean War.  Military Honors will be provided as part of his memorial service at 2:00 pm, on Monday, June 27, at Fircrest United Methodist Church, 1018 Columbia Ave., Fircrest, WA 98466.  A family ceremony at Tahoma National Cemetery will take place the next day.  Memorials may be made to The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, The University of Puget Sound Athletic Dept., or the Boy Scouts of America.  Please sign the online guest book at www.Havenrest.com.
