Steven M Hartford, 61, known to friends and family as Steve passed away peacefully on September 12^th, 2017. Steven was born in Hastings Nebraska to Bessie L. Hartford and Harlan D. Hartford. He spent most of his life living in Kitsap County, WA. He is survived by his mother Bessie, brother Harlan L. Hartford, son Zachariah, and daughter Brandy. He is preceded in death by his father Harlan D. Hartford.

He married Malina Smith and had his first born, Zachariah Sean. He later remarried Lynn Steiner and together they had a daughter, Brandy Lynn. He lived a full life, had many adventures, and lived in numerous states in the NW including Washington, California, and Colorado. He worked as a custodial worker for the South Kitsap School district followed by several years as an amazing carpenter. He was a hard worker who loved his children, family, and friends. He was an outstanding cook and artist and created many beautiful drawings and etchings that will be treasured for years to come. He enjoyed camping, beach combing, and music. He also found great joy in collecting antiques, tools, clocks, and watches. He was an animal lover and had taken in numerous animals over the years. His most recent companion was his beloved cat Peckerwood who he loved and spoiled unconditionally. Steven was always a character and full of jokes always quick with his wit.

Steven was a very unique soul that touched the lives of many. He will be missed dearly but never forgotten. May he rest in heavenly peace.
