Therese Tedesco was born on Sept 29, 1926 in La Prairie, Quebec, Canada and passed on April 23, 2017.  She married Alessio Louis Tedesco on November 25, 1950 and moved to the US, calling it her home from then on.  She survived her husband, Alessio, who passed in April of 2003; they had 53 wonderful years of marriage.

Therese was a member of St. Nicolas Church and active with various ministries, while her health allowed. In her younger years she played bridge and always enjoyed card games of any type with friends and family. Her favorite game, though, was Scrabble; she played as often as she could with anyone who was up to the challenge.  She loved to garden, listen to classical music and paint as well.  Her real passion - and her gift - was in the kitchen.  Therese often prepared wonderful meals to share with family and friends to savor.

She is survived by two children Andrew (Tracy) of Gig Harbor and Denise (Roberto) of Tampa, FL, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and  two sisters: Andre Le Brock and Francoise Kiss of Canada.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Nicholas Church in Gig Harbor on May 19 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow in the Parish Center.  All are welcome to join in this celebration of her life.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Nicholas Church in Therese’s name.
