Vernon L Baldwin

Vernon L. Baldwin, 97, a Gig Harbor resident since 1956, died September 3, 2015.  Vernon was owner of Proctor Paint & Hdwe in Tacoma for 33 years after owning Bayview Drug for 10 years.  His favorite hobby was tending a spectacular garden.  He was a WWII veteran and member of First Presbyterian Church.

He was predeceased by his wife Doris and his grandson Mark Oldenburg. Surviving family members include daughters Gwen Oldenburg (Charlie), Katherine Stallman (Rod) and son Gordon (Buz) Baldwin, grandchildren Rene, David, Nathan, Jennifer, Andrew, Eric and Scott, and great-grandchildren Michael, Jake, and Alexander.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday September 18, at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor. Viewing will be from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM that morning.
