Virginia Thrall “Ginger” was a woman loved and treasured by so many. She was truly the rock of her family. Caring doesn’t begin to describe her, it was a kind of caring that was unmatched. She dearly loved her family and her friends and would go to great lengths to show it. She always reached out, touched and impacted the lives of all she knew. Ginger was fiercely independent, generous, intelligent, strong willed and witty. No matter the obstacle, she was determined to overcome it and she did. She was so very strong, in so many ways. Her voice, her lessons and her love will be so missed. She may have lost her battle with cancer but in terms of a full and well lived life, she was a champion. She loved her parents, husband, kids, grandkids and great grandkids and so, so many dear friends. And we can’t forget her love of the Seahawks, Mariners, college football, gardening, genealogy, QVC and shopping. She was a truly remarkable woman. She is survived by her daughter Cindy, son Ron (Kim); grandkids Jackie Six (Mike), Ronnie Thrall, Keith Harris (Shannon Leary), Donnie Yorba, Joe Yorba (Paula Dizon) and Desiree Yorba; and great grandkids, Bri, Hunter, Noah, Summer, Breaden, Emilia and soon to be determined little one who’s on the way. In addition, she leaves behind many cousins and other family around the Country. Born in Los Angeles, California, she will be laid to rest next her husband Lee at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor, WA, her home town of the past 38 years. A celebration of her life will be held at her home on February 09, 2018, from 2pm – 5pm. As a family we will plant any live flowers and tend them in her honor. In lieu of flowers, an option could be a donation in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital to support children and families impacted by life threatening diseases.
