Brenda Dell Dixon

Brenda Dell Dixon (nee Harvard) was born on May 27, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia to Jack Harvard and Gurtha Evans. She graduated from Jordan High School and was heavily involved with athletics before she met and married Lieutenant Richard A. Dixon, then stationed at nearby Fort Benning. They traveled around the world and had three children together: Cindy, Evelyn, and Christopher, before retiring in the Puget Sound area. Brenda succumbed to lung cancer at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma on September 16, 2018. Brenda and Dick were married for fifty-six years. She is survived by her husband, three children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
