Christine Louise Laughridge

Christine Louise Laughridge, 61, passed away quietly in her Gig Harbor home on September 27, 2017.

 Chris was born in La Mesa, California September 19, 1956. She attended Grossmont High School. Her favorite classes were dance and art. She continued creating beautiful, thoughtful, and unique artwork throughout her lifetime.

On October 27, 1984, Chris married the love of her life, Walter, in San Francisco. During their time together, they lived in several cities, including Oakland, CA; San Diego, CA; Lake Elsinore, CA; Milwaukie, OR; and Antioch, CA. During their travels, she visited Gig Harbor and fell in love with the beautiful, lush town. In 2006, her dreams came true when they moved into the gorgeous green house on the hill, overlooking a forest of trees. The pileated woodpecker, tit mouse and gold finch brought her joy as she watched out of the large windows that overlook a forest of trees.

 She is survived by her husband, Walter; daughter, Nicole (Christopher) Sampson; grandsons Max Satre and Kirby Sampson; father, Dick Applin; and brother, David Applin.

 A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 13 at 11 am at Haven of Rest 8503 State Route 16 NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98332.
