On Monday, June 24, 2019 at age 58, David McDaneld Jr. passed away in Gig Harbor of natural cause. The first of four children, David was born on November 2, 1960 in Tacoma WA to parents David and Jeanne McDaneld. As a kid, David could be found playing sports, terrorizing his brother and sisters, or practicing his guitars. He graduated from Puyallup high school in 1979, attended green community college and established his career in the sales industry.
David had a passion for music, he loved to sing compose songs playing his guitar and singing karoke. He was also an avid Sea Hawks fan, and a Costco shopper, he loved to fish, sing his heart out and crack an inappropriate joke. He was also known for hosting gatherings in his home. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.
David was preceded in death by his father David E. McDaneld Sr. He is survived by his mother Jeanne Renard, wife Rose Watson, children; Lacy (Terry) Ward, Jordan (DJ) Fandel, and Nathan, stepchildren; John and David, grandchildren; Adelyn, Easton, and Sloan, and his siblings; Lori (Gene) Plesner, Daren (Diana) McDaneld, and Lisa (Dave) McDaneld. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Services for David will be held on Monday July 15, 2019 at 6:30 pm, at the Champion Center Church in Tacoma. 1819 E. 72nd St. Tacoma, WA 98404. A reception will follow.
His wife Rose would like to thank everyone for their support especially Pete Windgard David’s best friend for life and his cousins John McDaneld Jr. and Angel his sister in Law.
