Donn L. Dahl, 91, of Belfair, WA, passed away peacefully in Port Orchard on December 11, 2018. He was born in Bremerton to Henry L. and Emma L. Dahl on November 1, 1927. They raised him in Victor and as an adult, he went to work for Leander Finholm at the age of 17 (the original Gig Harbor Telephone Co.) There, he worked his way up to superintendent, and after many buy-outs, to manager of Gem State Phone Co. (located in Idaho and Nevada) in 1968. Donn retired in 1974. He was the last surviving elder of the original formation of the members of Chapel Hill Church. Donn was preceded in death by his loving wife Pauline and his parents, Henry and Emma. He is survived by sons, Donald (Sharon) Dahl and Howard Dahl of Gig Harbor and Steve Dahl of Everett; daughters Sharl Dahl Edwards (Charles) of Mazatlán, Mexico, Kathleen (Ray) Klein of Green Valley, AZ, and Janelle (Darren) Hynes of Hollywood, CA; brothers Noel Dahl of Bothell and David Dahl of Mountlake Terrace; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
