Douglas Scott Simmering, 44, of Milton, Washington passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 23, 2019.
Doug was born in Pekin, IL and raised in Havana, IL. At the age of 10, he and his parents moved to Kent, WA making the Seattle area their home. After attending Kentwood High School, he went on to work in construction. He was most recently a superintendent at Graham Construction.
Doug will be remembered for his kind heart. He was very loyal to his family and friends. His interests were in music, especially Seattle based, and sports. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago Cub fan.
Doug is preceded in death by grandparents, Bill and Betty Schad and George Simmering, his uncle, Kevin Simmering, and his cousin, Scott Braun.
Doug is survived by his loving parents, Kathy and Kent Simmering, and grandmother, Ann Simmering. In addition, he was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at his parents’ home in Port Orchard.
Remembrances may be given in honor of Doug to the American Cancer Society or any other cancer charity of your choice.
