Ella Mae McGowan

Ella Mae McGowan, 90, a Tacoma resident since 1964, died October 15th, 2019. She married Harold McGowan in 1948 and they spent 64 years together until his passing in 2012. They lived in Minnesota before moving permanently to Washington state. Ella Mae loved fishing, gardening, bird watching, reading cowboy books, spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchild, and her little dog Bandit.

She was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching her grandson play, along with watching the Mariners (most of the time). She was a retired housekeeper from Tacoma General Hospital. She had also worked for Boeing and West Coast Door, while being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Family members include son Mark (Jan) of Spokane; daughter Debra Hunotte (Dennis) of Spanaway; grandchildren Colin Hunotte, Kristi McGowan and Jordan McGowan; great granddaughter Hayden Hunotte.

Funeral services and burial will be 2:00pm, Friday October 25, 2019 at Haven of Rest Cemetery, 8503 State Route 16 NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98332.
