Frankie Faye Takehara

Frankie S. Takehara, age 81, a Gig Harbor resident since 1978, left this Earth peacefully with a smile on her face surrounded by family on March 25th 2017.

Frankie retired from Puget Sound Bank as a respected Branch Manager (Purdy Branch) and the title of Assistant Vice President in 1993. She loved golf, and through her passion for the game, not to mention her technical terms for bad shots, planted the love of the game for many others.

She was born in Meadville, Mississippi in 1935 where she grew up on a farm, and graduated Meadville High School. She went on to graduate from Copia-Lincoln Community College. She was active in Kiwanis in Tacoma, then the Gig Harbor chapter.

Frankie is survived by her husband David, sons Robert and Randall, and Randall’s wife Jessica, and their sons, Frankie’s grandsons David and Randall junior,

A memorial service will be held at the Haven of Rest Chapel on Monday, April 17, at 1 PM. A private interment is to follow. Remembrances can be made at the Pierce County Humane Society. WWW.thehumanesociety.org. Click “donate” and select to dedicate and type her name in the remembrance box.
