Gordon P Behnke

Passed away on February 1st, 2019 at the age of 72, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Tacoma in 1946 and Graduated from Wilson High school. He served in the Navy for 2 years. Worked for the city of Tacoma for 37 years. He was survived by his wife of 45 years, his son Erik and wife Susan, Son Jason and wife Charlene and his daughter Tiffany. He also had 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Gordy was a master Gardner who worked for the city of Tacoma. He was especially proud of his work with Tagro, where he enjoyed growing prize winning plants and vegetables. He also had a love of cars, his 36 Ford coupe was his pride and joy. The Burley Lagoon was his home away from home, which sparked his love of wildlife. He enjoyed watching the osprey and eagles and from the deck of his beach house. He was a loving generous man who’s wonderful smile will be missed by many.
