I worked with John at The Butcher Restaurant back in the 1990's.
He was by far the best boss I ever had.
He was also the kindest and funniest!
I love how he emulated Christ in everything he did and said.
The world could use a lot more people like him.
I think of him often and today I thought I'd look him up and finally send him a heartfelt letter thanking him for his influence in my life. I know he's in heaven smiling.

John, heaven is lucky to have you.
Thank you for being such an angel here on Earth!

Much love to you and your family.

Oh my goodness... How can this be possible? A man with so much to give be taken from us? But as stated in Job so long ago "the Lord giveth, the Lord taketh, blessed be the name of the Lord." John was loved by mostly everyone who had the good fortune to cross paths with! I enjoyed his love, wit, & charm. He knew how to reach your inner child to come out and play! I had the good fortune to know John at College in Florida for two years. I will never forget one of the first evenings sitting in his & Carol's apartment listening to a young commedian by the name of Steve Martin... Laughter Always accompanied every exchange with this man! Thank you for your love my dear friend! And I know heaven is happy to have you though our hearts are heavy thinking of your departure! God bless all John's family! Love to you all! Thanks for sharing this man with all of us!

Knowing John was such a privilege, he always had a kind word and was filled with such humor and love, that he will live on in our memory forever.

John was a hero to our family. In 2004 our daughter was excommunicated by a small PCA church in Idaho because she believed in a Lutheran view of baptism. We appealled the excommunication and met with a judicial commission in Seattle on April 1, 2005. John was one of the 7 members. At one point in the proceedings John spoke out very boldy against the mistreatment of our daughter. His words gave us tremendous comfort. He didn't even know our family but proved to be a true friend to us and defender of the innocent. Thanks to John and the NW Presbytery our daughter was vindicated. We will never forget him. When our daughter had her first baby in Sep 2005, I remember joking before the birth, "If its a boy - John Pribyl C - If its a girl - Johnette Pribylly C" she had a girl but her name was Kyrie. God's peace be with John and all his family. David Eyre Chattaroy WA
