Norbert Charles Peterson, 81, a Gig Harbor resident since 1995, passed away with his family by his side on June 21st, 2019. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and relished entertaining others and making them happy. Norbert retired as an executive search consultant, following a career as an engineer and inventor. He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Southern California in 1952, where he later met the love of his life – marrying after a brief, magical courtship in 1962. He served in the Navy in the late 1950’s, and graduated from UCLA School of Engineering in 1966. Norbert is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Lou, daughter Holly (Mark) of Los Angeles, son Eric (Kara) of Atlanta, and grandson Cole.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic Parish in Gig Harbor on Thursday June 27th at 11am. The family will host a reception at home to follow. 10508 122nd St NW, Gig Harbor.
