Patricia Malaier

Patricia Carol Malaier was born February 7, 1946 in Roanoke, Alabama and passed away on September 6, 2018 in Tacoma Washington.  She was a resident of Park Rose Care Center in Tacoma for many years.  Previously she lived in Federal Way, WA and Montgomery, Al.  She is preceded in death by her parents William O. Malaier and Frances Louise Malaier and is survived by her two brothers, William Malaier of Phoenix, AZ and Michael Malaier of Montgomery, AL.  

Patricia’s father spent 26 years in the Air Force and her family moved frequently during her childhood.  She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, AL in 1965 and attended Troy State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1969.  She taught for a short time in Tallassee, AL and Wallsboro, AL. 

Family was an important part of her life and she will be missed by her Nephews Michael G. Malaier, William F. Malaier, Nicolas A. Malaier, Benjamin Malaier and her niece Sarah B. Malaier.  She enjoyed family holidays and reunions with aunts, uncles and cousins in Gig Harbor, WA, Roche Harbor, WA, and Kowaliga, AL.  She enjoyed game nights with the family.  She lived much of her adult life with many challenges but always remained steadfast in her faith and belief that God would sustain her.   Her ability to maintain a sweet nature throughout will forever be remembered and admired.

She will be buried at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Gig Harbor, WA.  A memorial service to honor her life will be held later.
