Rebecca Lynne Jennings

Rebecca Lynn Jennings “Mang”, 61, of Fox Island WA, passed away with her family by her side at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital on May 16, 2018. She was born in Oklahoma City OK on November 18, 1956 to Richard and Rose Marie Jennings. Rebecca graduated from Juanita High School in 1975. Rebecca had three children Chris (1978), Jessica (1984), and Brandon (1987). She was a hard working mom and a continual entrepreneur. Over the years she owned/ran multiple business including “The Prairie Schooner” restaurant and “Ye Olde Book Peddler” bookstore and book search. Later in her life she also started her own cleaning business and ran an Amazon web store. Rebecca loved to garden and had a continual green thumb. She would spend most weekends working out in the yard ever expanding and improving her garden. Rebecca had a very contagious laugh, loving smile and warm heart. She is deeply loved and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Rebecca is survived by the love of her life, Dan Barrus of Fox Island WA, son Chris (Amy) Sherwood of Port Orchard WA, daughter Jessica (Garrett) Mondini of Kent WA, son Brandon Koertge of Gig Harbor WA, grandchildren Joshua, Emma Sherwood, siblings Allan, Bryan, Darrell Jennings and her loving mother Rose Marie Nichols.
Rebecca's Celebration of Life will take place on June 16^th 2018 at The Inn at Gig Harbor (3211 56th St NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335) At 2 pm. Please come and tell your stories.
