Sandra Louise Herink, 61 a Gig Harbor, Wa resident since 2016, died November 1, 2019 after a short illness. Sandy was a retired special education teacher, homemaker, artist and avid gardener. Family members include her husband of 31 years Philip Herink, Gig Harbor, sons, Jerod John and Kellen Donald Herink both of Boise Idaho and one grandson. Sandy is proceeded in death by her mother, Katie Noel Fleming and George Edwin Vanhoozer of Idaho. Sandy is survived by four brothers, Jeff, Lynn, Kevin and Greg Vanhoozer all of Idaho.

Sandy enjoyed working in her yard and home, gardening and canning what she would harvest. She also was an avid jewelry maker, artist and enjoyed spending time at home with her husband and two dogs, Tonto and Bo.

Memorial services will be held in Sun Valley Idaho to celebrates Sandy’s life during the summer of 2020 with specific arrangements forthcoming for family and friends.
