Terry L. Wagner

5/15/1944 - 11/7/2017

Terry Lee Wagner, age 73 passed away unexpectedly November 7, 2017 in Gig Harbor, WA surrounded by his family and friends. He was at peace to meet his Lord. He was born in Belsano, Pennsylvania to Ralph and Nora (Roles) Wagner. And was the youngest child of seven. He attended school in Nanty Glo, PA, joined the Navy in 1963 and honorably discharged in 1967 with assignments on the USS Ranger and duty in Vietnam. He worked for 33 years at Puget Sound Naval Ship Yard Department of Defense as a nuclear pipe fitter in Shop 56 until retiring in 2000. Terry is survived by his sister Lois Barosky of Nanty Glo, PA, wife Donna Boudet of Gig Harbor, WA and children Tina Wagner (Bill Bond), Jill Fitzpatrick (Brian), Terry Jr., Danielle Wagner (Dan Silva), stepdaughter Jacqueline Daykin (Todd), stepsons Richard Boudet and Brian (Michelle) Boudet, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Terry was an avid hunter and fisherman his entire life. He started as a child with week-ends at the family hunting and fishing cabin in Pennsylvania. He loved the outdoors and felt at peace in the woods hunting or with a fishing pole looking for the new perfect spot to catch the big one. He moved to Bremerton compliments of the US Navy and never left. His best friends were always planning and plotting their next outing and adventure. He loved cars. He had many and had fun tearing them apart only to put them back together again with a few new fancy parts to brag about. He liked driving fast and had a few tickets to prove it although he was a good driver. He listened to the music of the 50’s and 60’s. He had an amazing memory for the words, the year, and who sang them. He enjoyed watching old Western and science fiction movies and was constantly searing the web for the latest news story so he could debate the issues. He stayed connected with his family and friends in Pennsylvania with many trips home, always taking some of the family here to visit them.

Terry was active with the Mason County Search and Rescue club, Pacific Northwest Four Wheel Drive Association and Belfair Pack Rats prior to his retirement in 2000. After retirement he upgraded with a nice little fishing boat and recently began a new hobby of flying remote controlled airplanes. He was baptized and a member of Harbor Covenant Church in Gig Harbor where he continued his faith walk from his childhood. He just recently returned from a month long trip to Pennsylvania to visit with his loved ones and celebrate a special 90th birthday with his sister Lois. He loved his children and grandchildren and tried to spend many fun times together despite his declining health. He was also very close to his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania.

There will be a Celebration of Life on December 1, 2017 at 1pm at Harbor Covenant Church, 5601 Gustafson Dr. NW, Gig Harbor, WA. Final interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery at a later date.
