Heaven gained an angel
the day you slipped away
And although our hearts were breaking
We knew you couldn’t stay
Husband, brother, father, friend
Loving kindness that knew no end
Your wings were ready to help you fly
But we were not ready to say goodbye
We love you so and wish you peace
Even though we’ll surely weep
The memories we shared together
Will stay within our hearts forever
