In loving memory of Allen Kulikoff, 82. Who God called home, June 26, 2023.
Allen, with his mother and sister came to the United States as political refugee’s in 1953, taking up
residence in San Francisco, CA.
As a young man, Allen entered into the trades, as a plasterer and mason. Over the course of his
extensive career he pridefully worked on many high profile projects both in the San Francisco Bay
Area, and overseas. The culmination of that career being recognized in his project management of the
Mitchell Mansion restoration in San Francisco, CA in 2007.
Over the course of his life he would marry, and be blessed with two daughters and a son. Purchasing a
house with property in Sebastopol, CA where he would further develop his great love of horses and
western culture. His love for these magnificent animals would find him purchasing and stabling many
horses over the years, with fond memory of his trusted horse Yankee. His commitment and skill in
horsemanship resulted in service with the San Francisco Sheriffs Mounted Police Unit.
Allen’s love for America, made him a proud and patriotic citizen. His love of Americana was present
with his appreciation of Elvis, John Wayne, and Country music. His love of American classic cars was
evidenced in his purchase and restorations, of two classic Chevy Impalas.
Following his retirement Allen would move to Washington State, taking up residence in Gig Harbor. He
would live these past 16 years in a grand residence on serene forested property.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian, daughters, Jenny and Angela, and son, Johnny, A fine Son-in Law in
Dylan, and wonderful grandchildren, Rebecca, Joelena, Nina, Nicholas. He has a large and caring
extended family of which there are too many to name, each contributing in great part to his personal
happiness and well being. The senior members of that group are his sister Valerie, and his surviving
siblings.
In his passing the family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, Medical staff, and Attendants of
Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Tacoma, Cottismore Care Facility, Gig Harbor, Fresenius Dialysis, Gig Harbor
for the many years of health support.
Announcement of a Celebration of Life is pending, with a location in the San Francisco Bay Area to
accommodate the families needs, and a date yet to be determined.
