Allen T. Swanson
1932-2022
Alford and Clair Dean Swanson were blessed with 14 children. August 1932 their 3rd
child Allen T. Swanson was born in in Blanchard, Oklahoma. “Al” as family and friends
knew him, had much to celebrate on his 90th birthday in August 2022. Surrounded with
family, friends, guests, and pets. Al was honored for his Navel service that day as well. Al is
survived by 5 sisters, 3 brothers, a daughter, son, 5 stepdaughters,14 grandchildren, 26
great-grandchildren, 2 great- great -grandchildren, and his wife. Woodworking, and
making items for the people he cared for made him happy. Hunting and fishing trips with
friends and family provided a lifetime of tall tails for the one that got away. His life was filled
with adventure and service to God, Community, and Country. As a SeaBee in the United States
Navy, he proudly served his country. Firefighting for Boeing and Boise, Idaho Fire
Department. Al bravely served his community. As a deacon in the church, Al faithfully served
God. Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor, Washington will be providing the graveside service and
Allen Swanson’s final resting place.
