Beverly Woessner Obituary

Beverly Mae Woessner was born to Orville and Grace Tharp on August 22, 1924 in Los Angeles, CA. She passed away on June 5, 2018. Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Otto. She is survived by her son Thomas R. Woessner, daughters Karen W. Elvert (Leland), Loretta A. Swanson (Merle), grandchildren Kristin Wilhite, Kurt Bumgarner, Shelley Stimler, and five great-grandchildren. Beverly worked in a bank selling bonds for World War II and later in the Military Police office. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and chose to be a homemaker when she had her family. It was the light of her life. Beverly was a Christian Woman and belonged to the same Christian Women’s Club for 30 years. She kept in touch with seven girlfriends from high school and three friends from the bank her entire life and now she leaves two behind. Beverly had a great sense of humor and always made us laugh at her funny remarks. She was loved by everyone that knew her. She will be greatly missed. Many thanks to the Gig Harbor Fire Department and EMT’s, Puget Sound Home Health Care, Gig Harbor Adult Family Home, St. Anthony Hospital, and CSI Franciscan Hospice for all of your loving care. A memorial service will be held in Beverly’s honor on July 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rosedale Bible Church, 8620 Rosedale Street NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335-(253)851-8382
