Dale James Moe, was born on July 11, 1948 in Grafton, North Dakota to parents Edwin William Moe and Cecelia Ann (Jiskra) Moe. Dale graduated from Mount Lake Terrace High School in 1966 and later joined the US Army in April of 1968. He was honorably discharged in March of 1970. On November 9, 1991 he and Lynne (Walter) Moe were married. He was a general contractor. He was a sober, active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 30 years. Dale was an elder in the Presbyterian Church and sang on the praise team at Wabash Church and then in the choir at Chapel Hill.
Dale passed away on March 31, 2020 at his home in Lakebay, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Lynne; son, Caleb Levesque; daughter Rochelle (Gregory) Levesque-Smith; granddaughter, Maliyah Levesque-Smith; brothers Dean Moe, Don (Cheri) Moe, Alan (Susan) Moe; sister-in-law Connie Moe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents as well as his bother, Ardell Moe.
He most loved spending time with his wife Lynne and children Caleb and Rochelle. He adored his granddaughter Maliyah. Dale and Lynne enjoyed skiing, motorcycle trips, spending winters in Baja and traveling the world. He was known for his big smile and sense of humor. He had many friends and left a big mark on the world.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 16th at 4:30 at Chapel Hill Church in Gig Harbor. There will be individual seating by ushers for social distancing and masks will be required. For anyone who would like to join, a picnic at our family home will be held after the funeral service. He will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
