Dorothy Ann Canter

Dorothy Ann Canter was born September 5th, 1934 and passed away peacefully on February 27th, 2020, after a brief journey with illness. She had four sisters and a brother, and spent her high school years in Queens, New York. After graduating, she moved to visit one of her sisters in Spokane, WA. Not long after, she met Alton Canter. They were married in March of 1961 and moved to Tacoma, WA. Dorothy was a loving wife and involved mother to their five children. Dorothy loved to craft and scrapbook and was known for always having a camera in hand to capture memories. She was a dog-lover, and had many pets over the years, including her most recent pup, Suri. She was a faith-filled woman and was heavily involved with her church, including weekly bible studies. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton (2003) and is survived by five children and their families.
