Douglas Stephen Van Woudenberg, a Port Orchard resident since 2003, died July 28, 2020. He was born in Bethesda Maryland.

Doug was a member of the U.S. Air Force working as assistant crew chief on the F 15 Eagle. After eight years of active service he continued on in active reserve until retirement after twenty-two years.

While in the Air Force he was able to complete his education, receiving both his B.A and MBA degrees. He met his wife, Nancy while at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas.

After retirement from the Air Force, Doug and his family moved back to Washington where he began working with Alaska Airlines as a Maintenance Training Instructor. Later he began working at Boeing as a Lead Instructor. He was also an active member of the American Legion. Riders #149.

Family members include his wife, Nancy; daughter, Misty; mother, Elaine; sister, Teresa

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Van Woudenberg.
