Edward G. Devita died on October 12, 2022 from Early Onset Alzheimer’s Dementia in Port Orchard, Washington. He was born on March 29, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to his parents Angela Gallo Devita and Edward Albert Devita also from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania whom are both deceased. He is survived by his siblings, Patrice Stanton, Malvern, Pennsylvania and Gregory Devita of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His sister, Carla Devita Klug predeceased Edward Devita in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He attended The Haverford School in Haverford, Pennsylvania for high school (1976), University of Pennsylvania with a B.S in Biology ( 1980), Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania with an M.D. ( 1984) and completed his Neurology Residency at LA County-USC Medical Center (1986-1990). He moved to Gig Harbor, Washington in 1991 to start his neurology practice and raised a family with his wife, Jocelyn Vallarta Devita, M.D. (Gig Harbor, WA). He is survived by his children, Matthew Devita (Orlando, FL) Elisa Devita Bertsch ( Tacoma, WA) and son-in-law, Bobby Bertsch ( Tacoma, WA)
