Edward Martin Fessler, 83, of Gig Harbor, Washington, passed away on January 29, 2024. He was born  in Portland, Oregon to Edward  and Ada Fessler, nee Cappo. He was a loving husband to Ann Fessler, nee Moyer. Together, they shared a beautiful journey and raised three children, Mark (Amber), Aaron (Elizabeth), and Sarah Thi. He has 2 adorable grandchildren, Norah and Ada Fessler.  Ed was very close with his sister, Betty Fessler Braet. Ed's dedication to his family was unwavering, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Ed's educational journey began at St. Philip Neri School, where he laid the foundation for his future success. He attended Central Catholic High School and Gonzaga University, graduating with a degree in Math. He continued his education at UCLA, earning an MBA which equipped him with the skills necessary for a successful career.

Ed’s professional life was marked by his tenure at Lockheed, Boeing, IBM and Weyerhaeuser. He made valuable contributions to these companies, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry. Ed's dedication, intelligence, and strong work ethic were admired by all who had the pleasure of working with him.

In his free time, Ed enjoyed various hobbies and interests, including running, reading and hiking. His participation in a book club gave him great pleasure in his later years. His greatest experience was walking the Camino de Santiago.

In lieu of flowers, Ed’s family requests donations to St. Leo’s Food Connection (Tacoma), or a food bank of your choice in Ed’s name. Ed felt strongly that in the richest nation in the world, no one should be hungry.

Ed will be forever remembered for his kindness, intelligence, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and a profound impact on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace.
