Eleanor M Knapp

Eleanor M. Knapp, 94, beloved wife and mother, was born September 27, 1925 in Tacoma, Washington and died October 11, 2019 at the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil, WA, near Port Orchard. She was loved and will be greatly missed by sons Douglas, Deane (Dorine), Roger (Cheryl), David (Lori), and Warren; daughter Lynette (Keith) Lile; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She lived in Tacoma, Selah, and Gig Harbor, WA most of her life. After graduating from Stadium High School and business school in Tacoma, she worked at the social security office there. She married Seth A. Knapp on May 2, 1948 and was a former member of Peninsula Lutheran and Christ Lutheran congregation and recently attended services at the Veterans Home. She and Seth loved golf, enjoyed traveling, and were active in church work.

She was preceded in death by husband Seth and brothers Leonard and Raymond.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Veterans home Chapel at 1141 Beach Drive in Port Orchard at 2:00 pm on October 28, 2019. A private family interment was held at Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor, WA.
