On February 12th, 2020 Eleanor Frances Saar passed away in her sleep in the home of her youngest daughter, Patricia Anderson, in Tacoma, WA.  She was born on February 26, 1924 in Los Angeles, CA.  It was her wish that she pass away surrounded by family, and she was able to do that.

Eleanor is survived by her two daughters Elizabeth Allen and Patricia Anderson, 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.  She joins her late husbands Walter Hutto and Jesse Saar.

Eleanor, known as Nani to her grandchildren and many family members, was born in Los Angeles, CA and spent the first half of her life in Southern California.  She attended Manual Arts High School, UCLA and Seattle University.  She taught Spanish in Tacoma and University Place and was a cook for the Convent at St. Charles Borromeo and St Louis of France Churches.
She is remembered as someone who was very active in her church and choir.  She had a love for music and was often singing and dancing.

Eleanor was someone who was stubborn, and that stubbornness was often her strength.  She was strong, passionate, feisty, and often seemed to have no fears.

She spent most of her life in the Catholic Church and was confident in her faith.
