February 27, 1956 ~ September 16, 2021 (age 65) 65 Years Old

Eugene Morse Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle has passed away at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, WA. Eugene had been Hospitalized over the Summer for COPD Exacerbations and a Left Hand Infection and then contracted Covid-19 in the ER from Nursing Staff who were Tested (+) while he was there. Eugene came home, got ill, the Family got ill and he returned to the Hospital where he was Tested (+) for Covid-19 and Diagnosed with Covid Pneumonia. Eugene within days of being Hospitalized ended up on a Ventilator in ICU which because of his COPD he could not wean off of. Eugene was fully Vaccinated with the Pfizer Vaccine in March 2021 as was his family, but, because Eugene was Immunocompromised and because of his Illnesses had not been able to get to a location for his Pfizer Booster Vaccine.

Eugene was born and raised on the Family Farm in Moscow, Idaho, he worked for his Maternal Grandfather and then his Father after his Parents purchased the Farm. Eugene drove Tractors, Combines and Grain Trucks. Eugene absolutely loved working on the Family Farm.

Eugene graduated from Moscow High School – Class of 1974 and then went to Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID, majoring in Auto Mechanics until he was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer at 22 years Old. After Thyroid Cancer Surgery and Recovery, Eugene moved to Lewiston, Idaho near his Maternal Grandparents and lived there for several years. Eventually, Eugene moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to be near his youngest Sister, Connie and Family and his Parents in Rathdrum, Idaho where they had moved several years after selling the Family Farm and their Home on the remaining acreage in Moscow, Idaho in 2004.

After Eugene’s Father passed away in February of COPD, he moved with his Mother to Bremerton, WA to be near his Sister, Melinda and her Husband in Port Orchard, WA. Eugene remained living with his mother in Bremerton, WA at the time of his Death.

Eugene’s health began declining like his Father’s due to a History of Smoking and developing COPD. Eugene was a fighter and loved life, he went on many trips with his Mother and Sister, Melinda over Memorial Weekend, loved socializing in the Lobby of his Apartment Complex, collected multiple Newsboys Caps, loved collecting and working on Antique Pocket Watches, making Jewelry, listening to Classic Rock Music especially ACDC, loved watching his Classic TV Shows and Movies – Action, Crime Drama, Comedy, and absolutely loved the 3 Stooges and he looked forward to his favorite Beer weekly. Eugen loved 1953 Ford Crown Victoria Hardtop Cars and many Classic Cars, especially Fords, he knew everything about multiple Models and enjoyed working on them while younger, In addition, Eugene very much enjoyed riding Dirt Bikes in the Mountains while younger, he loved Fire Lookout Towers and had been to many of them in Northern Idaho, watching Motocross Races and Classic Car Auctions. Eugene was also an incredible Artist. Our dear Eugene was a Loving, Gentle Soul, everyone who met him became a Friend, he had such a unique Personality that is very much missed.

Eugene is now in Heaven with our Lord, no longer suffering, with his Relatives, Friends, and Loved Ones.

Eugene is survived by his Mother, Diana J. Morse of Bremerton, WA, his Sister, Melinda K. Morse (Kendrick) of Bremerton, WA, his Sister, Chandra L. (Paul) Bartell of Potlach, ID, his Sister, Constance L. Morse of Bremerton, WA, his Niece, Haley A. (Elias) Nawas of Austin, TX, his Nephew, Hayden D. Spivey of Austin, TX, his Great-Nephew, Noah E. Nawas of Austin, TX, his Aunt, Vesta Johnson of Vancouver, WA and many other Relatives and Friends.

Eugene is preceded in Death by his Father, Jack C. Morse of Rathdrum, ID, his Maternal Grandparents, Fred and Myrtle Nelson of Clarkston, WA his Paternal Grandfather, Byrle Morse of Caldwell, ID, his Brother-in-Law, Merritt P.C. Snyder (Melinda) of Port Orchard, WA as well as multiple other Relatives and Friends.

A Memorial Service will be Announced at a later Date.
