Jerry was a lifelong Gig Harbor resident. Born August 28, 1947 to Parents Vern and Jean Kauppila and passed January 10, 2021.
Jerry’s passion was trucking. He started hauling hay as a teen for his lifelong friends the Stroh family. Later he turned to hauling logs; eventually he owned and operated his own logging trucks. After retirement he began gardening and enjoyed bringing beautiful Dahlias and vegetables to his family and friends. Jerry had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Everyone got a kick out of his humor.
He was preceded by his parents and brother-in-law, Milt (Pug) Bestwick.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Sandi Bestwick; Brothers, Dick (Pat) and Dave (Becky); 6 nieces and nephews; and 10 great nieces and nephews. Thank you Julie Morin Jones, his dear friend, caregiver, and support through these last years.
Due to Covid the family would like to have a get together at a later date.
