I am sorry for your loss. Dr. Dugger was the best dentist and I feel fortunate to have been a patient of his. When my husband Terry and I moved to Tacoma in 1977 we were lucky enough to have a friend refer us to Dr. Dugger. I am a terrible dental phobic but he put me at ease and one of his hygienists, Nancy, was the best. Our son, Troy, saw Dr. Dugger for his very first dental visit and loved going to the office and having headphones to listen to the Bill Cosby comedy routines (selected to be appropriate for children). We were glad for him when he was able to retire but sad to lose our most wonderful dentist. He provided wonderful care to his patients. I trust you will find comfort in your life time of memories.

Thank you for these kind words and fun memory of our dad. Those small things he provided for comfort and distraction really did help make the dental experience less stressful. He was very sensitive to other people's discomfort! We do miss him and are grateful to know that he gave you and your family the best dental experience possible. Again, thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for the kind words. My dad absolutely loved Al. It was a very special friendship and I know dad missed him everyday. There will be a service or party this summer and I would be happy to send the details once we know them. I'm not sure how this guestbook works, but if you are able to send me contact information I will make sure to get the date and time to you in case anyone from the family would like to come. So many special memories with the Malancas! Again, thank you! Erin

My sympathy and condolences for the loss of your father. As we all know that time eventually comes. My dad, Merle Palmer, enjoyed the care in the end provided by hospice. I too , can't say enough positive comments about their care.

Your dad was my dentist for years. Always had a smile and something funny to say to distract me. Randy and I worked on levy campaigns religiously in gig harbor trying to support our schools.

My dad has been gone since 2009 and mom died this fall. I lost my sister 16 years ago. Grief comes in different ways and sometimes when you least expect it. Take care and bless all of you for a happy 2016.

Randy, I'd love to hear from you. Peggy (Voigt) Palmer

I am so sorry for your loss. I was a patient of your Dad's for many years. Even though I had to visit way to often, I didn't mind going. He always had a smile on his face. He would always say "Ok, Let's see those pearly whites". May your family have strength at this time of loss. Sincerely, Lisa

I was a newly graduated dental hygienist from UW in 1968 and Dr Duggar was my first employer. I had worked for him as an assistant in Summer's between dental school.
He was an incredible person, kind and thoughtful, an extremely fair employer, an excellent dentist and a lot of fun!!
I will always rember him with great fondness and respect , and be grateful for his mentoring.
Sincerely, Leslie McCracken RDH
