Glen D Hicks

Glen D Hicks went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the age of 89 years.  He was born on March 20, 1932 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  He served for 2 years in the Army followed by 21 years in the Air Force as an Electronic Warfare Countermeasures Specialist.  He later owned landscaping and well drilling businesses before retiring in 1994.  He was an active member at Faith Presbyterian Church in Tacoma, WA for many years.  He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Anita Latch, sons Glen D. Jr. and Randall Hicks, sister Jean, four grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, as well as beloved nieces and nephews.  

Glen was adept at working around all kinds of equipment.  Over the years he enjoyed flying, sailing, paragliding, scuba diving, travel, music and reading.  His later years were spent around the property he had developed with his devoted wife Mary and their 7 rescue dogs.  Glen will be remembered for his cheerful smile, good natured wit and humble demeanor.

A graveside service will be held at Fraola Cemetery at 10 am on Saturday, October 2.  All are welcome.
