Helen was a strong presence in my childhood. She and Ervin lived next door to my grandparents, Jim and Mildred Scoggins. She babysat me, attended my first communion and gave me a coin purse and rosary that I treasured for years, and came to so many family events that I called her "Grandma". She always impressed me with her activity and dedication to her long walks, rain or shine - she was tough! She rented out her former home to me when I moved back to GH after college, and treated me like family. I will miss her generous spirit.

What a wonderful lady. I consider Helen (busha) my god mother. She was such a wonderful babysitter. I will always cherish those memories growing up. Your in my prayers during this difficult time.

I have fond memories of my times with Helen. Whether is was at church,at her home, or just taking her for a car ride. She was one of a kind. Gentle, sweet with her adorable smile and laugh. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone or anything. She loved our Lord her family and life. There is no doubt a special place was saved for her in Heaven and our Lord welcomed her with loving arms.
