Joseph Anthony Mastro
Joseph Anthony Mastro was born on August 23,1950 in Seattle, WA, and died on August 30, 2022, in Allyn, WA, after a courageous two-year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Mary Kay (Welch) and his 4 children, Julie Kerkof (Matt), Kevin (Charlene), Lisa Paul (Mike), and Ann Brady (David). He is also survived by the loves of his life, his 8 grandchildren. Joseph and Caroline Kerkof, Joseph, John and Paul Mastro and Katherine, Natalie, and Daniel Brady. He is also survived by his sister Joanne Pagano (Bob) and brother Chris Mastro (Paula), as well as many nieces and nephews and his extended Welch family.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, AJ (Jake) and Margaret Mastro and in laws, John R. (Dick) and Bernice Welch and brother-in-law Michael J. Welch.
Joe was a graduate of Mount Virgin Grade School and Franklin High School, Class of 1968. Joe was a member of Teamsters Local 174 with a 30+ year career as a truck driver for Watson Asphalt Paving Company.
Joe was a lifelong Seattle resident before moving to, “The Beach” on Case Inlet in Allyn, WA in 2018.
Joe’s family was his life. He was the most dedicated husband, Dad, and Papa. He will be missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10am, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 2303 54th Ave. E., Fife, WA. Private burial.
Joe’s family would like to thank Providence Hospice for their care and compassion during his last two weeks of life. Thank you to Diana, TJ, Chaplain Kirk and especially his Hospice Nurse Paul.
